We'll be focusing on the Steam and retail (a.k.a PC) versions of the game today. The Microsoft store version, however, is based on the mobile version of the game and is more locked down. There are multiple versions of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas out there on PC: the Steam version, the Rockstar launcher version, the PC version, and the $6.99 remastered Microsoft Store version.īoth the Steam, Rockstar, and DVD/retail versions can run script-based mods like SAMP. So, if that's the case, how do you install SAMP, and do you need a specific version of the game to do so? We'll answer that in this guide. Given Rockstar's hard stance on modders and the age of the game, it's unlikely it ever will. See modloader/.data/CHANGELOG.md file for the changelog of all versions.Despite its popularity, San Andreas Multiplayer (SA-MP) isn't available as part of the base game. * Fixed path translation heuristics for LoadLibrary, so explicitly loading system DLLs does not fail anymore. * Fixed an original game bug causing CdStreamSync to deadlock randomly (included an export for other mods to check if this std.stream build is aware of this bug and fixes it). See modloader/.data/Command Line Arguments.md. Change or add the files while the game is running and see the results immediatelly! No need to care about taking the data line from the readme file and placing in the data file, Mod Loader does that for you too! Therefore you can for example have 70 handling.cfg files at modloader and they'll all work perfectly fine. Do not replace ANY original file, never, really.Still not sure? Check out this nice video from Ivy. It is recommended to have one folder for each modification you have. The usage is simple, you just have to create one or more folders inside modloader directory and then drop the mod contents there. Mod Loader is an ASI Plugin for Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto San Andreas that adds an extremely user-friendly and easy way to install and uninstall your modifications, without even messing around anything in your game installation.
